Because last year's Santa Cruz ride was such a success, we're doing it again! Those of you who missed out are getting a second chance for two great riding days, and spending the evening with your friends at our catered dinner in downtown Santa Cruz.

> The dinner spot is again the very cool NOAA California Marine Sanctuary (right opposite the Santa Cruz Municipal Pier, 35 Pacific Ave.) - drinks beforehand out on their deck overlooking the Bay... It's really a great venue.

> The basic idea is pretty simple: Ride down Saturday, have a great dinner Saturday night, ride back Sunday. There will again be at least two groups of riders: Lights & Humanes and Advanced & Advanced Intermediates. Routes are still being decided; but last year's light ride was around 50 miles each way, with not much climbing- and there will be at least one sag car for the light/humane group. Plus these cars will carry our backpacks just like last year! Now that's service..

> You need to do two things right now:

> 1. Make a hotel reservation immediately! Or an Air bnb reservation with some of your friends. This is a very popular area and rooms fill up fast. If you're walking or biking distance from the dinner spot, great. If not, there's always Uber or Lyft, or even something called a taxi.

> 2. Send a check for $50 per rider made out to OYJ, c/o Laurie Nielsen, 4207 Arroyuelo Ave. Oakland 94611. That covers part of the cost; the club is picking up the rest or you can pay on-line.

> If you decide to cancel, or in the end can't make it, cancelling your hotel room should be easy, and that's on you. Let laurie know at least a week or two ahead of time and you'll get your $50 back as well.

> Look forward to seeing lots of you on the ride again. It was a ton of fun.

> PS If you're being joined by a non riding spouse or friend, it's just $25 for them. One per member please, unless there's a good reason for more! Also, yes, you do need to be a fully paid up OYJ member to invite guests.
